Delete your account
Badhra, operated by Systo e.U. · Last updated: August 2026
You can delete your Badhra account and everything stored with it at any time. There are two
ways to do it. Both remove the same data.
1. In the app (immediate)
- Open Badhra and sign in.
- Tap the account icon in the top right.
- Open Account settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
The account is deleted straight away. There is no waiting period and no reactivation:
once it is gone, it is gone.
Before you delete, you can take your data with you: the same screen has
Download my data (JSON), which gives you everything stored under your account in one file.
2. By email (if you cannot sign in)
Write to support@badhra.app from the email address
the account uses, with the subject Delete my account. We delete the account and reply to
confirm, normally within a few days and at the latest within one month (GDPR Art. 17).
We ask you to write from the account's own email address because it is the only way we can
tell that the request is yours. We will not delete an account on someone else's word.
Deleting only part of your data
You do not have to delete the whole account to remove something. Inside the app you can
delete these one by one, at any time:
- a saved word — together with everything attached to it, including its review schedule
- a text you generated or imported — in the reading library, under “My texts”
- a course you generated — on the course screen
- a dialogue or a saved tutor chat — in the dialogues list
For anything else — for example your lookup history, or one particular item you want
removed — write to support@badhra.app and say what
should go. We do it and reply to confirm, normally within a few days and at the latest within
one month.
What is deleted
Everything that belongs to your account:
- your email address and login details
- your saved words, review schedule and review history
- your lookup history and reading history
- texts, dialogues and courses you generated or imported
- your tutor-chat transcripts
- your progress, streaks, goals and certificates
- your interface settings
If you had reported a dictionary error, the report itself stays but is detached from you —
it no longer refers to your account.
What is not deleted, and why
- Server backups: up to 14 days. The database is backed up daily and the last 14
copies are kept. Your data disappears from those copies as they are rotated out, at the
latest 14 days after deletion. Backups are never used for anything but restoring the
service after a failure.
- Server access logs: up to 14 days. The web server records requests (IP address,
time, requested address) for security and operation, and rotates them after 14 days.
- Dictionary answers and spoken audio. When a word or sentence is looked up or read
aloud, the answer and the audio are stored once and reused for everyone. They are keyed by
the word or sentence itself and carry no user identifier, so they are not personal data and
are not tied to your account. Deleting your account does not remove them, and they cannot be
traced back to you.
Questions
Write to support@badhra.app. What we store and why is
described in the Privacy Policy; the operator's details are in
the Legal Notice.
This page exists so that account deletion can be requested without installing
the app, as Google Play requires.
