Terms of Use

Last updated: August 2026

1. Operator & scope

Badhra ("the service") is operated by Kadir Tokel, Haydnstraße 18 / Tür 6, 4311 Schwertberg, Austria, as a registered trade (GISA 39942883) — see the Legal Notice. These terms govern your use of the website and app at badhra.app (previously jadhr.org, which now forwards here). By using the service, you agree to them.

2. The service

Badhra is a tool for learning Arabic (meanings, roots, patterns, conjugation, example sentences, pronunciation and spaced-repetition practice). It is currently provided free of charge. Some results are generated by artificial intelligence.

3. Accounts

You may use lookups without an account. An account (email + password) unlocks saving, practice and progress. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Provide a valid email address; it is used for verification, password reset and optional emails.

4. Acceptable use

Use the service only for lawful, personal learning purposes. Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape or automate access, circumvent rate limits or security, or misuse the service in any way that harms it or other users. Automated or excessive requests may be rate-limited or blocked.

5. Content and accuracy — no warranty

The guided course, the reading library and the reference material are written and checked by the operator. Word lookups are produced by an AI model and then cross-checked against curated linguistic databases and a second model before they are shown, and you can report any word. Texts, dialogs and tutor chats that you generate are raw AI output and are checked by nobody. Section 9 of the privacy policy sets this out in full.

Regardless of which of these applies, the content may be incomplete or wrong. It is a learning aid, not an authoritative reference, and we do not warrant its correctness, completeness or fitness for any particular purpose.

6. Availability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". As a free service it may be changed, interrupted, limited or discontinued at any time without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that data is never lost — please export anything you want to keep.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by Austrian law, the operator is not liable for damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the free service, including reliance on AI-generated content, except for damages caused by intent or gross negligence, or where liability is mandatory (e.g. personal injury). This does not limit any mandatory statutory consumer rights.

8. Your content & termination

Content you create (saved words, notes) remains associated with your account. You can export your data or delete your account and all associated data at any time in the account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.

10. Governing law

Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence. Contact: kadir.tokel@gmail.com

The service is currently free of charge and there is no checkout, so these terms cover no purchase, no subscription and no right of withdrawal. Before any paid plan is switched on they must be extended (price, billing, the 14-day right of withdrawal for consumers, and who the seller of record is) and reviewed by a lawyer.
